Navigating the dashboard

From the dashboard we see a complete overview of your feeding margins and brokerage profitability.

At all times you can get back to the dashboard from the sidebar menu to the left or by clicking on the Cattle Core logo.

Estimated Margin Calculations

These margins will be based on the default feeding costs that you enter in Edit defaults

Each of these calculations will be based on the estimated feeding time frame and of the corresponding start dates. You can manipulate in an out weights and recalculate by clicking on the arrows forming a circle. You can also choose BACKGROUND or FINISH and the application will automatically switch from feeder to live cattle.

Open lots will give you a snapshot of the current lots that you have open as well as allow you to navigate to that lot by clicking the arrow in the column labeled GO TO.

Unassigned positions page will show you all of the trades that you have not assigned to a lot

Market Quote page and Lot Analytics Snapshot

Here we have quotes of the corn and cattle markets as well as an overview of your total operation. The average cost of gain and breakeven is across all open lots.
